Do brokers know WHY they are in business?

 

In our complex and ever changing business environment, brokers are not adding any value to their clients businesses. Instead they are selling them insurance products on a “one size fits all” basis in exchange for commission. Products that are not tailored to their clients unique requirements. In a check box fashion they obtain quotes from various insurers then enter into a price war to offer their clients the “best priced deal”.After they have sold the product they proceed to manage the client relationship in an archaic manner while some do not offer an after sales support.

Where there is some account management, the broker moves away from offering risk advice and instead becomes an administrator, taking on the tasks of the policyholder and the insurer.

The Team

Our founding team is a delightful mix of meticulous accounting, strategic deployment, strong governance and innovative deal making. This savvy business has deep roots within the insurance landscape with the team sharing close to 20 years of insurance experience between them. Co-founder, Garin Lovell, has built up a highly successful sales and business development career in multiple industries. With 5 years in the credit insurance environment, he has forged long term connections with his clients which has lead to a 95% retention rate. Garin’s greatest strength lies in his ability to structure simple to complex solutions for all sized businesses.

Our Key Individual and Strategic Director is Mashudu Mamathuba . He is a highly motivated, confident individual with the ability to work in unstructured environments. Able to remain credible and trustworthy with the ability to work at the highest levels in any organisation. He is able to hold his own when dealing with company directors, fellow executives and senior managers.
